Kids Room Toys & Hobbies commenced trading in 2000 operating out of a retail outlet in Dandenong South. The business initially started out selling inexpensive imported goods out of China, selling from their showroom as well as Akoona Park (Berwick Market) princess highway Beaconsfield opposite Hailbury collage. This was a direct avenue not only to sell inexpensive kids toys but also to market to thousands of shoppers. We have now set up our park flyer aircraft on the edge of the oval, this is where we will display our regular flying model aircrafts and vehicles every Sunday between 9am and 1pm we will complete approximately 25 to 30 demonstrations depending on weather conditions.

In 2009 Kids Room Hobbies changed their business strategy to capitalise on the fastest growing market in electric planes and cars. This is in direct response to a demand in the public. Over the years electric powered aircraft was too expensive for the average person to afford and now with new and improved battery technology we can provide affordable lithium polymer batteries (LIPO) and hobbies. Cars, planes, helicopter and boats can be powered for longer durations without spending fossil fuel and no mess. This is also a Green energy initiative so is better for the environment.

We are unique in the way we have set up our business as there are no other model hobby shops that will sell a customer a model and then show them how to fly it. We also supply planes and parts to hobby club members at a special member’s price to ensure we don’t lose sales to other competitors. We offer a number of services, assembly of models, service and repairs tuning, full range of spare parts, expert advice, technical support and flying tuition.

Kids Room Toys & Hobbies have decided to increase its market share in the fast growing field of remote controlled electric hobby planes, making them one of the market leader in the field.
